GABRIELA REYES

FOUNDER

Gabriela has focused her professional career on advancing social, financial, and economic development. She started at the Central Bank of Venezuela supporting the investment strategy for the country’s international reserves. After moving to the United States, Gabriela spent several years in the financial services industry managing institutional clients in Latin America for Barclays Global Investors and BlackRock, which allowed her to open markets and launch financial products in untapped geographies.

More recently, she has been building multi-sector partnerships aimed at closing the opportunity divide while leading national alliances at Year Up, one of the fastest growing nonprofits in the United States. Through this platform, Gabriela has built dozens of partnerships generating millions of dollars and connecting hundreds of low-income young adults to the economic mainstream in the United States.

Gabriela holds a B.A. in Economics from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (Caracas) and a Master of Public Policy & MBA from University of Michigan. Her past consulting work includes the Inter-American Development Bank, Ashoka and CARE. Gabriela lives in San Francisco, California with her husband and two kids. She enjoys a good workout, yoga, reading, and spending quality time with family and friends.
